Tricyrtis Edo no Hana Tiarella This old Japanese cultivar isTricyrtis 'Edo no Hana' is a Japanese selection, supposedly of the Taiwanese Tricyrtis lasiocarpa, but the growth habit tells us that it is probably a hybrid with T. lasiocarpa. The flowers, which top the 22" tall x 5' wide spreading patch, begin for us in mid September with mauvy lavender tipped petals, each speckled toward the throat and lightening in color toward the basal yellow blotches plus each flower has been tricked out with a rosy red stigma.
