Description
The vessel itself is a very thin/light black glass
which is applied on the surface of a woven bamboo or wood object
and pyrography kits were sold through various mail-order sources including the Sears catalog and advertisements in women’s magazines
Great on a rustic farm table as well as amid other mid-century decor
some pretty minor chipping just to the outside of the lip in a few areas
Beautiful 19th Century English TreenApothecary Bottle - 5 Inches burdened The vessel itself is aSuch a gorgeous thing! I am always on the lookout for antique treen bottles and boxes, and so often disappointed to pull them out of cases to find a large crack running down one side. This one, on the other hand, is in exceptional condition and just stunning. Late ish 19th century, and I believe made of boxwood, it would once have held a glass bottle inside, but now could be used to house all sorts of little things, or nothing at all! 5" tall x 2 3 4"
