I find it impossible to resist these old acrobat squeeze toys when the acrobats are as good as this guy

I'm pretty curious about the original intent of the kid, I assume who carved these and colored them with crayon in a very dedicated manner; perhaps as little shovels for scooping sand in the sandbox? or as snow shovels for dolls? or for scooping salt, sugar, and spices in the kitchen? Anyway, I think they could work for the latter now if desired, though I'd probably treat them as little sculptures and line them up in a row. Great color,
