Description
The 2000 Cantenac Brown is a vintage that I last tasted just after bottling
anise and clove plus discreet mineral nuances that are set off by enough wood to warrant mentioning
Racy and lively with a good spine of ripe fruit and no obvious sweetness nor alcohol
This bottle was popped and poured
deep ruby-red
Lucien Le Moine, Corton Charlemagne Blanc other_regions_italy The 2000 Cantenac Brown is(from vines in Pernand). A pure nose of Granny Smith apples, freshly sliced lemons and limes, white flowers and plenty of wet stone character. There is outstanding size, weight and punch to the relatively elegant broadshouldered flavors that possess good depth and length but there is a surprising lack of punch. Perhaps it is just a stage but given the natural energy of Corton Charlemagne from Pernand, this is not typical. (89 92?) 2019+
